Day 2 - Work Day EDC

January 12, 2024

Date of post does not correlate with date of shooting.

In a nutshell:

Brought the camera with me to work today. Tried auto-ISO capped at 1600. Tried zone focussing and failed miserably.

Silver camera is definitely more eye-catching—kind of wished it was black.

Yet, silver also seems to capture more interest in good ways—helps me meet people like this lovely soul who asked to have her photo taken. I couldn’t help but notice her exquisite outfit out of the corner of my eye and she waved me over after she saw me take a photo of my friends.

Wish I wasn’t in such a rush to get to a meeting. She was telling me she was a nurse in England and the story behind her jewelry.

Not sure how I feel about my current career. Lots more to unpack, but probably better for another day and probably not suited for the internet.

Trying to be more aware of my surroundings. Sometimes I see it but fail to execute in time. Cropping a ton.

Hits and misses from downtown Vancouver:

Winding down.

It snowed out of nowhere, traffic became a mess of course. I had great fun during my eye exam. I’m pretty sure I need a -2 diopter to see clearly through the rangefinder. Costs a pretty penny though so maybe later down the line.

Final shutter count: 7132
